Organized by the International Mozarteum Foundation, Mozart week is held every January around his birthday. There are opera productions,
Orchestra performances, chamber music, instrumental and soloist concerts. A week of celebrating and enjoy the great music of Salzburg’s favorite son
The theme is Mozart Lives !
There will be over 50 events celebrating the music and life of
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
There will be three stage productions, Orchestral concerts, chamber music and much more.

The Mozart Week Festival will include the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Franz Schubert and Elliott Carter.
The soloist and ensembles including the Hagen Quartet have
Made the festival reputation what it is today. First held in 1956 ,
The Mozart week festival is a highlight of concert events for classical music and Mozart lovers.
A light snowfall at this time of year will only add to the romantic ambience of Salzburg.
A highlight will be the horse choreographer Bartabas and his team from the Academie equestre de Versailles who will interpret the cantata “David penitente”.
Well know Mozart conductors including Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Marc Minkowski and Andras Schiff , along with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg and the Musiciens du Louvre Grenoble will be performing.
